LaunchProgress PAC Endorses Uriah Ward for Greenville City Council
Affirming the need for a progressive voice on the Greenville City Council, LaunchProgress PAC, a national organization that supports young progressives running for state and local office, announced that it has voted to endorse Uriah Ward for Greenville City Council, District 3.
“We’re thrilled to support Uriah Ward for Greenville City Council, District 3,” said Arielle Swernoff, LaunchProgress Executive Director. “Uriah will be a voice for progress on the city council. He has been a consistent advocate for all of Greenville’s residents, and we’re confident that Uriah will work hard every day to move his city forward.”
“I’m incredibly excited to be endorsed by LaunchProgress,” said Uriah Ward. “Our campaign to improve traffic, support small business, improve quality of life and increase economic opportunity is gaining momentum by the day. I’m proud that our efforts have started earning national attention!”
LaunchProgress PAC supports young progressives running for state and local office. The organization’s alums in include Durham City Council Member Jillian Johnson and Greensboro City Council Member Jamal Fox in North Carolina, as well as numerous other municipal and state elected officials across the country.
Uriah Ward is a Middle School Social Studies teacher, a graduate of ECU and a Greenville native. He is the founder and former Executive Director of New Greenville, a progressive civic organization focused on the issues facing Greenville. Uriah is known in the community as a consistent voice for progress on issues facing the community.
